Bardstown Fire responds to tobacco barn on fire off Bloomfield Rd.

Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, 1:33 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to a report of a tobacco barn on fire at 7075 Bloomfield Road. Nelson County EMS is also responding.

1:38 p.m. — Bardstown chief requests mutual from the Northeast Nelson Fire Department in form of an additional pumper and a tanker.

1:46 p.m. — Incident commander reports a vehicle is involved and the fire has spread to the grass, and requests Northeast Nelson firefighters to divert to the BG Parkway westbound lanes to cut off spread of the fire, which is spread to the parkway.

1:56 p.m. — Firefighters have the fire under control. Northeast Nelson has canceled its trucks.
