Northeast Nelson Fire responds to reported yard fire on Greer Road

Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, 1:54 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department is responding to 706 Greer Road for a fire in the yard of a residence at that address. Greer Road is located off Gray’s Run Road just north of Fairfield and the Nelson-Spencer County line.

2:13 p.m. — Firefighters arrive, report about 2 acres are involved. Firefighters are preparing to use water to cool down a 500-gallon propane tank near the residence.
