Firefighters respond to brush fire south of Greenbrier off KY46

Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, 12:47 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 345 Paschal Ballard Road for a report of a brush fire that is out of control and spreading into a wooded area. Paschal Ballard Road is located off Balltown Road (KY 46) close to the KY46 intersection with Loretto Road.

1:09 p.m. — The incident commander reports that about 5 acres of field are involved in the fire. A bulldozer is on scene working to contain the blaze to keep it from spreading into the woods. The New Hope Fire Department is on scene to assist.

2:11 p.m. — Bardstown firefighters are leaving the scene to respond to the fire on Irish Ridge Road.
