Tractor-trailer crash closes Springfield Road at Botland

Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, 9:54 a.m. — A tractor-trailer crash and the resulting fire on US150 Springfield Road closed the highway in both directions for several hours this morning. The Bardstown Fire Department is still on scene at press time, and report they have turned the trailer over, extinguished the fire, and will stay on scene while the trucking company offloads the remaining material from the trailer.

US150 was closed to thru traffic near Maywood, and was totally shut down at the Springfield Road/KY 605 Manton Road intersection.

At about 10 a.m., firefighters report they will be opening up one lane of US150 to traffic.
