Obituary: Clarabell ‘Clara’ Schmidt, 80, Bardstown

Clarabell “Clara” Schmidt, 80, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at her home. She was born June 27, 1933, in Syracuse, NY. She was a retired nurse for the U.S. Army.

She is survived by one son, Kay “K.C.” (Sheri) Schmidt of Bardstown; four grandchildren, Michael Schmidt, Tiffani Ayers, Brittany Douglas, and Courtney (John) Douglas; and three great-grandchildren, Keli Ayers, Brandon Ayers, and Emily Anderson.

Her graveside service is 11 a.m. Thursday. Oct. 31, 2013, at the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, and 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home in Bardstown.

Memorial contributions may go toward her funeral services.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
