Woman injured when car is hit broadside by semi tractor-trailer
Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, 11:45 p.m. — An 18-year-old woman suffered non-life threatening injuries when her car was hit in the side by a semi tractor-trailer Thursday afternoon at the intersection of West John Rowan Boulevard and Wilson Parkway. The Bardstown Fire Department was called at 1:50 p.m. to help extricate the woman from her vehicle. The tractor-trailer rig crashed into the driver’s side of the woman’s car and penetrated approximately two feet into the vehicle. Bardstown Police routed traffic around the accident on Withrow Court until the accident scene and vehicles were cleared from the roadway. A non-injury accident took place near the first accident while police were working the first accident. Fire crews and police were on scene for just over an hour.
