Two men arrested after they were found with 900lbs of marijauana
Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, 1:20 p.m. — Two men were arrested Monday night after they were found in possession of 900 lbs of marijuana at a home near the Nelson-Spencer county line.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Hector M. Serrano, 24, and Gabael J. Suarez, 22, were arrested at their Spencer County residence by police Monday night. Seranno was charged with trafficking in marijuana, five pounds or more and criminal possession of forged instrument, second-degree. Suarez was charged with trafficking in marijuana, five pounds or more. They were lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
In addition to the marijuana, KSP also recovered $11,000 in cash and a shotgun. The pot is known as “Mexican Compressed Marijuana,” police said. It has an estimated street value of $630,000.
The arrests were possible after a tip received by the Louisville Metro Police Department narcotics team.
