Large-breed dog bite sends woman to University Hospital
Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, 11:45 a.m. — A woman was taken to University Hospital Tuesday morning after she was bitten by a dog. Nelson County EMS and Nelson County Animal Control were dispatched to a home in the 1000 block of Royal Oak Drive at 10 a.m. Tuesday for a woman who was bleeding heavily after she was bitten by a mastiff breed dog. EMS transported the woman to University Hospital for evaluation and treatment of her injury.
