Obituary: Alfred Wakefield Wiggington, Jr., 61, Boston

Alfred Wakefield Wiggington, Jr., 61, of Boston, died Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born April 30, 1952, in Spencer County. He was a heavy equipment operator for Reliable Trash Service, a member of Euclid Lodge #13, and a member of Second Baptist Church of Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Wiggington; his parents, Elizabeth Thompson and Alfred Wiggington, Sr.; one sister, Nancy Williams; and one brother, George Wiggington.

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Wiggington of Boston; two sisters, Martha Mason of Bloomfield and Betty Rose Downs of Bardstown; one brother, Joe Wigginton; two grandchildren, Keydon Brooks and KerJames Brooks; and a number of of nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Second Baptist Church of Bloomfield with burial in the Bloomfield Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph C. Marshall, Sr. will officiate.

Visitation is 7-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the Second Baptist Church of Bloomfield.
