Northeast Nelson Fire responds for odor investigation in downtown

Saturday Nov. 16, 2013, 12:30 p.m. — The Northeast Nelson Fire Department was called out at about 4 p.m. Friday for an odor investigation in the area of Fairfield Hill Road at the bridge near the traffic light in Bloomfield. Firefighters checked the propane tanks in the alley by the barbershop and expanded their search to surrounding buildings, but could not locate evidence of a propane leak. Firefighters were on scene for about 15 minutes.
