Obituary: Virgil Lee Hardin, 81, Bloomfield
Virgil Lee Hardin, 81, of Bloomfield, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was a native of Washington County, a retired farmer and a member of the Taylorsville Church of God of Prophecy-Grace Chapel.
He was the son of the late Andy Hayden and Nettie Jane Hardin and was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Carolyn Keeling; and one brother, Raymond Hardin.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Trent Hardin; three daughters, Jeanie (Gary) Barnes of Lyon Station, Deborah (Larry) Curtsinger and Sandra (Tracy) Yates, both of Bloomfield; three brothers, Ezra Lee (Emma) Hardin, James (Dorothy) Hardin, and Robert Hardin, all of Taylorsville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at the Taylorsville Church of God of Prophecy-Grace Chapel with Bro. Johnny Hood and Bro. Prentice Milburn officiating. Burial is in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville, and 9-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at the church.
The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
