Obituary: Gordon Dale Hinton Sr., 75, Cox’s Creek
GORDON DALE HINTON SR.
Gordon Dale Hinton Sr., 75, of Cox’s Creek, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1938, in Sellersburg, Ind. He was a retired health insurance broker and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Hinton and Emma L. Herbest Pigg; three brothers; and one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Marcia Ann Mueller Hinton; three daughters, Deborah (Tony) Young of Finchville, Shelly Nold of Louisville, and Jennifer (Chad) Hinton-Likins of Louisville; one son, Gordon (Jackie) Dale Hinton, Jr., of Bardstown; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at St. Gregory Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Eve will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, and 8:30-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy go to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
