E’town man injured after pulling truck into tractor-trailer rig’s path

Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, 7 p.m. — An Elizabethtown man was injured Wednesday morning when his truck was struck by a tractor-trailer rig near the 1 mile market in the eastbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway.

At about 9:35 Wednesday morning, Charles L. Dever, 60, drove his 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck from the parkway shoulder into the eastbound lanes and into the path of a 2007 International tractor-trailer operated by Leonard P. Quesnell, 58. The tractor-trailer struck Dever’s truck in the driver’s side door. Dever was airlifted from the scene to University Hospital with multiple injuries. The Kentucky State Police investigated the accident.
