New Hope Fire dispatched Sunday morning for smoke investigation

Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, 11:45 p.m. — The New Hope Fire Department was dispatched Sunday morning about 9:35 to the area of the 3900 block of New Hope Road for a report of smoke in the area. According to a Nelson County deputy sheriff driving in the area, a fire of unknown origin was generating heavy, black smoke that was covering the roadway. Firefighters investigated and found nothing. They were in the area for about 15 minutes.
