Obituary: Nancy Elizabeth Culver, 92, Bardstown
Nancy Elizabeth Culver, 92, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 03, 2013, at Colonial Health and Rehab of Bardstown. She was the former Nancy Elizabeth Rogers and was born April 17, 1921 in Bardstown. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert R. and Mattie Bell Ritchie Rogers; her husband, Victor O’Connell Culver; one daughter, Nancy Nadine Culver; one son, Hubert O’Connell Culver; three sisters; and nine brothers.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Harned, Marian (Jimmy) Mattingly and Nadine (Tiny) Smith, all of Bardstown; three sons, Victor R. (Jane) Culver of Wilmington, N.C., John Wayne (Ruby) Culver and Joseph R. (Georgann) Culver, both of Bardstown; one brother-in-law, Earl Culver of Niles, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the St. Thomas Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ben Brown will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
