A police officer on scene reported city workers and the alarm company were at the facility and work was underway to troubleshoot and repair the alarm system. The fire department incident commander walked through the building with city workers and alarm technicians to confirm there was no problem inside the building. The problem turned out to be a smoke detector activated by a vacuum cleaner. Firefighters were on scene for about 15 minutes.
