Obituary: Shirley Ann Clark, 77, Bardstown

Shirley Ann Clark, 77, of Bardstown, died Dec. 9, 2013, at Highlands Nursing Home in Louisville.

funeral_lilyShe was born June 11, 1936, in Nelson County. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a retired employee of Heaven Hill Distilleries in Bardstown after 43 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Edward “Walls” Clark in 1984; her second husband William Edward “Eddie” Clark in 1997; her parents, Chester and Mary Lee Young; two sisters; Freda Stober and Tootsie Young; three brothers; Harley Young, Jay Lewis and Joe Billy Young; and one son-in-law, David Milburn.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Carol Clark (Danny Allen) of Campbellsville and Ann Marie Milburn (James Chesser) of Taylorsville; one sister, Mary Martha Young of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, M.H. Young of Bardstown, Stevie Young of Louisville and Tommy Young of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Lisa Milburn, Joey Milburn and Betty Jean Wheeler; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with Deacon Arnold Downs officiating. Burial is in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Bardstown.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, and 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 at the funeral home.

The Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
