Obituary: Cecil “Wilbert” White, 83, Bardstown
Cecil “Wilbert” White, 83, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at his home. He was born March 24, 1930, in Nelson County. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, and enjoyed visiting churches across the state of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine White; his parents, Cecil and Minnie White; his stepfather, George S. Brown Sr.; one sister, Katherine Keeling; and one brother, J.T. White.
He is survived by five daughters, Janice “Joni” (Wayne) Puckett of Hudson, Sherry (Tim) O’Brien of Louisville, Vicky (Paul) Filiatreau of Oneida, Sandy (Jim) Lawson of Springfield, and Mary Ellen (Kenny) Dixon of Bardstown; one son, Wayne White of Woodlawn; two sisters, Lucille Keeling of Bardstown, and Joyce (Johnnie) Goff of Chaplin; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. Dr. Tommy Valentine will officiate.
Visitation is 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14,2013, at Barlow Funeral Home.
