Obituary: Eula Frances Pope Hourigan, 95, Lebanon

Eula Frances Pope Hourigan, 95, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in Louisville. She was born Aug. 25, funeral_lily1919, in Washington County. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and was retired from the Marion County Board of Education having worked as a lunchroom lady.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Cleaver Hourigan; one daughter, Kathleen Hourigan Hardesty Caswell; his parents, Lonzo Earl and Ida Lee Cocanougher Pope; one sister, Margaret Dee Pope Gordon; and four brothers, Henry Bosley “H.B.” Pope, Charles Bruce Pope and Lonzo Earl Pope, Jr.

Survivors include one daughter, Evelyleen (Ernest Carol “Zack”) Taylor of Lebanon; two sons, Richard (Debbie Colburn) Hourigan of Louisville and James Kenneth “J.K.” (Carolyn Waford) Hourigan of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Bosley Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Skaggs officiating. Burial is in Ryder Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon.

Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
