Obituary: Eula Frances Pope Hourigan, 95, Lebanon
Eula Frances Pope Hourigan, 95, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in Louisville. She was born Aug. 25, 1919, in Washington County. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and was retired from the Marion County Board of Education having worked as a lunchroom lady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Cleaver Hourigan; one daughter, Kathleen Hourigan Hardesty Caswell; his parents, Lonzo Earl and Ida Lee Cocanougher Pope; one sister, Margaret Dee Pope Gordon; and four brothers, Henry Bosley “H.B.” Pope, Charles Bruce Pope and Lonzo Earl Pope, Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Evelyleen (Ernest Carol “Zack”) Taylor of Lebanon; two sons, Richard (Debbie Colburn) Hourigan of Louisville and James Kenneth “J.K.” (Carolyn Waford) Hourigan of Lebanon; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Bosley Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Skaggs officiating. Burial is in Ryder Cemetery.
Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon.
