Firefighters called to Tuesday morning mobile home fire off US 62

Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, 8:40 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to a reported mobile home fire in the 300 block of Piper Drive in Stumph’s mobile home park at 7:12 Tuesday morning. Firefighters arrived to find light smoke coming from the roof of the single-wide mobile home. Firefighters had to force entry into the home to begin their attack on the fire. Crews had the fire under control in about 10 minutes. They were on scene for about an hour.
