Obituary: Thomas Harold Higdon, 76, formerly of Bardstown
Thomas Harold Higdon, 76, formerly of Bardstown, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Life Care Center of Bardstown. He was a native of Louisville and born April 3, 1937. He was a former resident of Bardstown, a former
salesman for Cox’s Interiors of Campbellsville and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward and Addie Lee Gardner Higdon; one stepsister, Janet Mattingly; one stepbrother, Carl Shofner; and one half-brother Harold Higdon.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Robinette Higdon of Kennesaw, Ga.; two daughters, Mary Lee Riggs and Linda (Brad) Naiser, both of Louisville; one son, Thomas Harold Higdon, Jr. of Houston; his stepmother, Ola Higdon of Louisville; one stepdaughter, Renee Houston of Kennesaw, Ga.; two stepsons, Josh (Paige) Houston of Kennesaw, Ga., and Paul (Kathy) Houston of Canton, Ga.; one sister, Anna Lee (Bill) Brown of Bardstown; one brother, Charles (Connie) Higdon of Mount Washington; one half-sister, Georgeanne Reynolds of New Albany, Ind.; one half-brother, Eddie (Peggy) Higdon of Louisville; one stepbrother, Charlie (Mary) Oshner of Louisville; three grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Eve celebrating.
Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
