Obituary: Margaret Jackson McIntyre, 90, of Bardstown
Margaret McIntyre, 90, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Nelson County on Oct. 20, 1923. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Fredericktown. She had a love for fishing, gardening, baking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McIntyre; two sons, James McIntyre and Kenny McIntyre; her parents, Lawrence and Minnie Jackson Stump; two sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Tricia (Larry) Cornish of Bardstown; two sons, Tommy (Debbie) McIntyre and Johnny McIntyre, both of Bardstown; one daughter-in-law, Elke McIntyre of Midway; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Hardesty will officiate.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. A prayer service is 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to the Holy Trinity Church cemetery fund.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
