Obituary: Joseph Larry Welch, 66, Bardstown

JOSEPH LARRY WELCH

Joseph Larry Welch, 66, of Bardstown, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at his home. He was a native of Nelson County, a retired employee of Flaget Memorial Hospital, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church. He was the son of the late William Earl Sr. and Beulah Mae Hutchins Welch.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Rummage Welch; one daughter, Tracy Hilton of Bardstown; one son, Joey (Alice) Welch of Bardstown; two sisters, Wanda Riley and Connie Updike, both of Bardstown; five brothers, Ricky Welch, Randy (Carolyn) Welch, Jackie (Joan) Welch, Freddy Welch, and Donnie Welch, all of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Erica Hilton, Taylor Hilton, Tanner Hilton, Juliet Welch, Rebekah Welch and Alex Welch; and one great-grandson, Kye Hilton

The funeral is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Livers officiating.

Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at the funeral home.

The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown is in charge of arrangements.
