armedrobberyWednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, 11:30 a.m. — The Dollar General store in Boston was robbed at gunpoint by two masked men Wednesday morning about 9:40 a.m.

Two men with handguns entered the store and demanded money. They left the store on foot wearing woodland camouflage jackets, blue jeans, gloves and black toboggans. One of the robbers had a blue bandanas covering his face; the other used a blue and white bandana. One of the men was wearing white tennis shoes, the other was wearing boots.

The store’s employees did not see a vehicle leave the area. Media reports indicate the men may have stopped at the Boston Food Mart prior to the robbery. Police have reviewed surveillance video from the Boston Food Mart and Dollar General Store. A police K-9 unit was requested to help track the path the men took after they left the store.

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the armed robbery.
