Mother, daughter injured when their car hits ice on Hwy 1066
Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, 12:13 p.m. — Nelson County EMS and sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Hwy 1066 about 3-1/2 miles from its intersection with U.S. 62 for a single-vehicle motor vehicle injury accident. The driver of a Ford Taurus reported hitting a patch of ice and sliding off the road. EMS transported the 44-year-old female driver who complained of head pain as well as her juvenile daughter, also complaining of head pain, to Flaget Memorial Hospital The crash was reported at 7:45 a.m.
