JAMES W. “JIMMY” RILEY

James W. “Jimmy” Riley, 65, of Nazareth, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at his sister’s residence in Bagdad. He was born April 23, 1948. in Bardstown. He was retired from Leggett and Platt and Dollar General Store. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Mable Riley; one sister, Wanda Louise Riley; one brother, Joe Riley; one niece, Sissy Keeling; and one nephew, John Spencer Coulter.

He is survived by six sisters, Patsy (Steve) Scrogham of Bardstown, Donna (Danny) Goodlett of Bagdad, Bonnie (Greg Ballard) Cissell of Hodgenville, Shirley (Tim) Rountree of Boston, Joyce (Mike) Kirsch and Brenda (Ricky) Sosh, all of Cox’s Creek; three brothers, John L. (Bonnie) Riley of Cox’s Creek, Keith (Elaine) Riley of Bardstown, and Kenny (Jill) Riley of Hodgenville; one aunt, Eva Leslie of Mount Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Chris Rhodes will officiate.

Visitation is 2–8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, and 9–10:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service is Sunday evening.

Memorial contributions may go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Barlow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
