Obituary: Margaret Mildred Hardin, 85, Bardstown
Margaret Mildred Hardin, 85, of Bardstown, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born May 30, 1928, in Nelson County and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart F. Hardin Sr.; one son, Joseph R. Hardin; her parents, John Carl and Amanda Alice Mattingly Linton; and two sisters, Bertha Person and Thelma Woods.
She is survived by eight daughters, Carol Rogers and Alberta Ashby, both of Cox’s Creek, Helen Hill of Shepherdsville, Faye Clayton of Fairfield, Carla Johnson of Bardstown, Wanda Jury and Crystal Weber both of Cox’s Creek, and Phyllis Hardin of Belmont; eight sons, Tom Hardin of Dauphin Island, Ala., Kenny Hardin of Shepherdsville, Hobart Hardin Jr. of New Haven, Billy Hardin, Guy Hardin, John Hardin, all of Bardstown, Daryl Hardin of Boston, and Robbie Hardin of Bardstown; 29 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral is noon Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with burial in the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Dustin Weber and Eric Hardin will officiate.
Visitation is 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, and 10 a.m.-noon Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at the funeral home.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
