Bardstown Fire responds to report of smoke in Frances Dr. home
Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, 8:53 a.m. (UPDATED 10:15 A.M.) — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to the 4200 block of Frances Drive off Louisville Road for a report of smoke coming from the ceiling of a residence. Smoke was showing from the attic when firefighters arrived. Firefighters entered the attic from the exterior of the home and had control of the fire in about 10 minutes. The American Red Cross was called to assist the resident with immediate housing needs. Firefighters were called out at 7:47 a.m. and were on scene conducting salvage operations until 10:10 a.m.
