Bluegrass Cellular named one of the ‘Best Places to Work in Kentucky’

Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 — Bluegrass Cellular has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Kentucky.” The bluegrass-cellularannouncement, recently released by the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management and Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, means that the wireless service provider is among an elite group of top-rated employers in the state of Kentucky.

“For more than 20 years, our mission has been to make a positive, lasting impact on the communities we serve,” said Ron Smith, President and CEO of Bluegrass Cellular. “And as a result, we’ve surrounded ourselves with passionate, enthusiastic people, all of who are driven to better the world around them. They’re the reason Bluegrass Cellular has continued to thrive, and I thank them for making this recognition possible.”

The “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” competition recognizes outstanding employers in three categories: small companies of 15–149 employees, medium companies of 150–499 employees and large companies of more than 500 employees. Bluegrass was one of 32 companies named to the medium-sized company category, which was a new addition to this year’s competition.

Managed by Best Companies Group, the “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” competition is a multiyear initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence. Winners are determined based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures, as well as the results from an internal employee survey. Rankings within each category will be announced at an awards dinner Thursday, April 24.
