NWS: Squall may leave an inch or two of new additional snow

Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, 11 p.m. — Nelson County is under a Winter Weather Advisory for snow through 4 a.m. Monday morning.
An area of light snow continues to travel west to east over the Ohio Valley, with the potential for one to two inches of new snow accumulation.
The Kentucky State Police reported at 10 p.m. that parts of I-65 and US62 were snow-covered and hazardous. Nelson County sheriff deputies have reported to Nelson County Dispatch that US31E, Bloomfield Road and most secondary roads were becoming snow-covered and slick. Deputies asked dispatchers to contact the county road department to respond to treat the worst, most hazardous road surfaces and they were told county road crews would not come out until 6 a.m. Monday morning.
Additional reports of cars that had slid off snowy local roadways were being received by Nelson County Dispatch as this report was being posted.
