18-year-old driver injured in single-vehicle crash at top of Burg hill

Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, 7:45 a.m. — One person was injured early Monday morning in a single-vehicle accident near the top of Burg hill on Springfield Road. Police, fire and EMS were dispatched to the injury accident at about 2:30 a.m., with the car reportedly on fire. Police arrived and canceled fire units because there was no fire or entrapment. The 18-year-old woman driving the car was transported by Nelson County EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital complaining of stomach and head pain.
