Sen. Paul interview rescheduled for special Friday edition of ‘Brooks & Co.’
STAFF REPORT
Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, 7 p.m. — Sen. Rand Paul’s interview with “Brooks & Company” host Jim Brooks has been rescheduled for 8:30 Friday morning.
Sen. Paul will be discussing his proposal to create “Economic Freedom Zones,” which will target America’s cities and communities with chronically high unemployment.
Unlike government stimulus that gives away taxpayer money, Sen. Paul’s plan offers individuals and businesses relief from government taxes and heavy regulatory burdens.
The proposal reduces taxes on individuals and corporations; reduces payroll taxes; and suspends the capital gains tax. The proposal also proposes policies to improve school choice for parents, and reduce the federal regulatory burden on local governments.
Join host Jim Brooks and WBRT’s Roth Stratton at 8:30 Friday morning for the interview with Sen. Paul.
The interview will be broadcast live, with excerpts played again during the Feb. 18 edition of “Brooks & Company” airing 11 to noon Tuesday on WBRT 1320 AM, 97.1 FM and streaming live, NelsonCountyGazette.com and WBRTCountry.com.
