Obituary: Matthew Dylan ‘Matt’ Blanton, 21, Cox’s Creek

MATTHEW DYLAN “MATT” BLANTON

Matthew Dylan “Matt” Blanton, 21, of Cox’s Creek, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Norton Suburban Hospital. He was a 2011 graduate of Nelson County High School.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Tanya and Kenny Campbell of Cox’s Creek; his father and stepmother, Ernest and Amy Blanton of Bardstown; one sister, Marian Blanton of Bardstown; two brothers, Brandon Lee Campbell of Cox’s Creek and Andrew Blanton of Bardstown; his maternal grandmother, Donna Herchenrader of Louisville; his paternal grandparents, Karen Lynn Blanton of Louisville and Stanley R. Blanton of Cave City; his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Mitchell of Louisville; and several aunts and uncles.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, and 8:30- 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at the funeral home.

Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
