The interruption in water service lasted from 10:45 a.m. until 12:40 p.m. The cafeteria was equipped with adequate water to make made sure it could make it through the lunch cycle during the anticipated two-hour interruption in service.
According to a school district press release, the cause of the water line break is still under investigation. A licensed plumber was called in to assist with the repair and insure the work adhered to all safety standards.
NCHS Principal Shelly Hendricks informed parents and guardians of the incident via the district’s OneCall system.
The break happened at a point well behind the school.
