‘Brooks & Co.’ guest to discuss impact of EPA on Kentucky coal powerplants
Tuesday, March 3, 2014, 11 p.m. — Mike Duncan, president and CEO of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity, will be guest Tuesday morning on “Brooks & Company,” airing 11 to noon on WBRT 97.1 FM and 1320 AM.
Duncan will discuss how EPA policies impact energy costs facing American families, particularly those in Kentucky where coal has historically helped give the state’s business and industry inexpensive electricity. Kentucky utilities have invested significant amounts of money in emission controls; however 11 Kentucky coal-fired powerplants are scheduled to close due to EPA policies.
To hear more about the impact of EPA rules on Kentucky energy prices, tune in 11 to noon on “Brooks & Company,” 1320 AM, 97.1 FM and streaming live online, www.NelsonCountyGazette.com or WBRTCountry.com.
