STAFF REPORT
Thursday, March 6, 2014, 7 p.m. — Louisville media reported Thursday that Bardstown Police Officer Tony Satterly has resigned.
WHAS TV 11 reported that the case against Satterly will be heard by a Nelson County grand jury at its next meeting on Wednesday, March 19.
Satterly has been under scrutiny internally within the Bardstown Police Department and by the Kentucky State Police Narcotics Enforcement Special Investigations Unit. The details of the investigation are not being released.
WHAS reported that Satterly’s fellow officers took their concerns to Chief Rick McCubbin regarding concerns that Satterly didn’t seem quite like himself.
Satterly’s attorney, Keith Sparks, has said that his client is cooperating with the investigation and that he has been honest and has nothing to hide.
