Tuesday, March 18, 2014 — Join host Jim Brooks for today’s “Brooks & Company” show on WBRT AM/FM. Jim will be joined in the studio by a representative from the Nelson County Republican Party for a discussion of the GOP’s Lincoln Day Dinner taking place Friday evening.
2014 CPAC straw poll winner U.S. Sen. Rand Paul will be attending the dinner and provide the keynote address.
Other elected officials, candidates and dignitaries slated to attend the dinner include state Agriculture Commissioner Jamie Comer, former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, state Sen. Jimmy Higdon, state Rep. David Floyd, Matt Bevin, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate. Jim Waters, president and CEO of the Bluegrass Institute for Public Policy Solutions and Richard Nelson, executive director of the Commonwealth Policy Center.
