Bardstown Tigers beat PRP, face Covington Catholic Friday in Sweet 16

sweet16UPDATED — Thursday, March 20, 2014 — The Bardstown Tigers topped first-round Sweet 16 opponent Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers Thursday night in play at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

WBRT’s broadcast team of Kenny Fogle and Hall of Fame Coach Minor Harmon provided the county’s only local play-by-play coverage of the game. WBRT’s own Roth Stratton provided a “Fans in the Stands” pre-game feature interviewing fans who were there to cheer the Tigers to victory.

The Tigers play again Friday at 8 p.m. in the quarter-finals and will face Covington Catholic. Covington edged out Clay County Thursday night 80-78.

WBRT AM/FM will again provide the “Fans in the Stands” pre-game feature, and Kenny and Coach Harmon will again bring listeners live play-by-play action from the floor of Rupp Arena.
