Ohio man injured in Sunday morning rollover crash on Blue Grass Parkway

emslogoSunday, March 23, 2014, 12:17 p.m. — The 86-year-old driver of a Mercury Grand Marquis was injured Sunday morning in a rollover accident on the Blue Grass Parkway.

Police, Nelson County EMS and the Bardstown Fire Department were called out at 11:25 Sunday morning for a single-vehicle crash in the parkway’s westbound lanes at the 31 mile marker.

The driver’s wife was uninjured in the crash. The couple’s vehicle was registered in Ohio.

The driver, who was unable to get out of the overturned vehicle, was freed by firefighters. He was transported to Flaget Memorial Hospital with lacerations on his hand and head, and complaining of left shoulder and arm pain.
