Obituary: James Robert ‘Robbie’ Hardin, 43, Bardstown

JAMES ROBERT ‘ROBBIE’ HARDIN

James Robert “Robbie” Hardin, 43, of Bardstown, died Friday, March 21, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident on Bellwood Road. He was born Aug. 18, 1970, in Bardstown. He was a construction worker and an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Margaret Mildred Linton Hardin, Sr.; and one brother, Joseph R. Hardin.

He is survived by his daughter, Haley Hardin of Bardstown; eight sisters, Carol J. Rogers and Alberta Ashby, both of Cox’s Creek, Helen Hill of Shepherdsville, Faye Clayton of Fairfield, Carla Johnson of Bardstown, Phyllis Hardin of Belmont, and Wanda Jury and Crystal Weber, both of Cox’s Creek; seven brothers, Tom Hardin of Dauphin Island, Ala., Kenny Hardin of Shepherdsville, Hobart Hardin Jr. of New Haven, Daryl Hardin of Boston, and Billy Hardin, Guy Hardin and John Hardin, all of Bardstown;  and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown with burial in The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Dustin Weber and Eric Hardin will officiate.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, and 8:30-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the funeral home.
