Nelson Circuit Court Indictments, March 19, 2014

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an indictmentaccusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Sunday, March 24, 2014 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. They are scheduled for arraignment April 3, 2014, unless otherwise indicated.

14-CR-36. Christy G. Morris, 33 Cox’s Creek, forgery of a prescription (2 counts).

According to the indictment on Aug. 1 and Oct. 30, 2013, Morris allegedly falsely made or completed a written prescription for a controlled substance. Bail will be set at the arraignment on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

14-CR-37. Robert L. Cobble, 41, Bloomfield, manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity; possession of a firearm while committing an offense; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree and complicity to the same; possession of a controlled substance, first-degree and complicity to the same; tampering with physical evidence and complicity to the same; cruelty to animals, second-degree; possession of a defaced firearm; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 19, 2014, Cobble, acting alone or in concert with Stephanie Hamilton, allegedly manufactured methamphetamine and possessed 2 grams or more of methamphetamine with the intent to sell it. The indictment further alleges Cobble, acting alone or in concert with Hamilton, hid a glass smoking pipe from police and were in possession of drug paraphernalia. Cobble additional is charged with allegedly neglecting an animal in his possession and having several firearms in his possession, including one with the serial number removed. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-38. Joseph A. Satterly, 45, Bardstown, obtaining a controlled substance by fraud (10 counts).

According to the indictment on July 29, Aug. 1, Aug. 7, Nov. 2, Nov. 15, Nov. 20, Nov. 25, Nov. 27 and Dec. 2, 2013 and on Jan. 14, 2014, Satterly allegedly obtained prescriptions for oxycodone and hydrocodone by misrepresenting or knowingly withheld information from a medical practitioner. Bail will be set at the arraignment on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

14-CR-39. Stephanie Hamilton, 41, Bloomfield, manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity to the same; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree (less than 2 grams) and complicity to the same; possession of a controlled substance, first-degree and complicity to the same; tampering with physical evidence and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; receiving stolen property; possession of a controlled substance, third-degree.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 19, 2014, Hamilton, acting alone or in concert with Robert Cobble, allegedly manufactured methamphetamine and possessed 2 grams or more of methamphetamine with the intent to sell it. The indictment further alleges Hamilton, acting alone or in concert with Cobble, hid a glass smoking pipe from police and were in possession of drug paraphernalia. Hamilton additional is charged with allegedly received, retained or disposed of a black bag belonging to another person having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000. The indictment further alleges Hamilton on the same date Hamilton was found in possession of two unspecified blue pills. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-40. Larry Joe Hardin, 47, Taylorsville, manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity to the same; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 28, 2014, Hardin, acting alone of in concert with Crystal Miller and Timothy Curtsinger, manufactured and possessed methamphetamine with the intent to sell or transfer it while in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-41. Chris Wigginton, 36, Bloomfield, unlawful transaction with a minor, second-degree (3 counts).

According to the indictment, on Dec. 13, 2013, Wigginton allegedly caused a minor to engage in illegal controlled substance activity involving marijuana. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-42. Crystal D. Miller, 33, Cox’s Creek, manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity to the same; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same; receiving stolen property and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 28, 2014, Miller, acting alone of in concert with Larry Joe Hardin and Timothy Curtsinger, manufactured and possessed methamphetamine with the intent to sell or transfer it while in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges Miller, acting alone or in concert with Hardin and Curtsinger, received or disposed of a Honda motorcycle and/or other equipment knowing it was stolen and having a value of $500 or less. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-43. Kelvin Derobthom Scott, 24, Bardstown, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 3, 2014, Scott, having previously been convicted of a felony, was found in possession of a 9mm handgun, drug paraphernalia; and less than 8 ounces of marijuana. The indictment cited his previous felony conviction as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-44. Timothy L. Curtsinger, 28, Cox’s Creek, manufacturing methamphetamine and complicity to the same; trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same; receiving stolen property and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 28, 2014, Curtsinger, acting alone of in concert with Larry Joe Hardin and Crystal Miller, manufactured and possessed methamphetamine with the intent to sell or transfer it while in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges Curtsinger, acting alone or in concert with Hardin and Miller, received or disposed of a Honda motorcycle and/or other equipment knowing it was stolen and having a value of $500 or less. Bail was set at $100,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-45. Joshua A. Spalding, 25, Bardstown, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree; promoting contraband, first-degree; tampering with physical evidence; failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 25, 2014, Spalding allegedly was found in possession of heroin at the Nelson County Jail and dropped it with intent to impair its verity. The indictment further states that Spalding allegedly failed to register a change of address with the Department of Transportation. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-46. Shane Tyler Terhune, 25, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree and complicity to the same; possession of a controlled substance, first-degree and complicity to the same; cultivating marijuana, fewer than 5 plants and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; possession of a firearm while committing an offense.

According to the indictment, Terhune, acting alone or in concert with Guy Coleman III and Erica Maraman, possessed two grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to sell or transfer it; was cultivating five or fewer marijuana plants with the intent of sell or transfer it while in possession of drug paraphernalia. The indictment further alleges that Terhune committed the offenses while in possession of a handgun. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-47. Joshua A. Spalding, 25, Bardstown, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; endangering the welfare of a minor and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 25, 2014, Spalding, acting alone or in concert with Kimberly Downs, allegedly possessed heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia while failing to prevent a child from being neglected. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-48. Guy Chester Coleman III, 27, Boston, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, and complicity to the same; possession of a controlled substance, first-degree, and complicity to the same; cultivating marijuana, fewer than 5 plants and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, Coleman, acting alone or in concert with Shane Terhune and Erica Maraman, possessed two grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to sell or transfer it; was cultivating five or fewer marijuana plants with the intent of sell or transfer it; and was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-049. Kimberly M. Downs, 22, Bardstown, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree and complicity to the same; possession of marijuana and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same; endangering the welfare of a minor and complicity to the same; menacing; hindering prosecuting or apprehension, second-degree; possession of a legend drug.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 25, 2014, Downs, acting alone or in concert with Joshua Spalding, allegedly possessed heroin, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia while failing to prevent a child from being neglected. The indictment further alleges Downs cursed and acted disorderly toward police officers, aided Joshua Spalding’s attempt to escape arrest and was in unlawful possession of citalopram hydrobromide. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-50. Erica Maraman, 27, Boston, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree, and complicity to the same; possession of a controlled substance, first-degree, and complicity to the same; cultivating marijuana, fewer than 5 plants and complicity to the same; possession of drug paraphernalia and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, Maraman, acting alone or in concert with Shane Terhune and Guy Coleman III, possessed two grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to sell or transfer it; was cultivating five or fewer marijuana plants with the intent of sell or transfer it; and was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-51. Sharon Gail Shepherd, 44, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to the same; receiving stolen property and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, between Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, 2013, Shepherd, acting alone or in concert with Angela Hughes, allegedly entered the residence of another person with the intent to commit a crime and took a flat-screen TV, jewelry and other household items having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail will be set at the arraignment on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

14-CR-52. Ronald Thomas Fick, 30, Cox’s Creek, trafficking in marijuana, five pounds or more; cultivating marijuana, five plants or more and complicity to the same; possession of a controlled substance, third-degree; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 28, 2012, Fick, was found in possession of thanktroplin pills, drug paraphernalia, and five or more pounds of marijuana with the intent to sell or transfer it. The indictment further alleges Fick, acting alone or in concert with Michael Blanton, cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to see or transfer it. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-53. Angela M. Hughes, 30, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree and complicity to the same; receiving stolen property and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, between Nov. 21 and Nov. 22, 2013, Hughes, acting alone or in concert with Sharon Shepherd, allegedly entered the residence of another person with the intent to commit a crime and took a flat-screen TV, jewelry and other household items having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail will be set at the arraignment on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

14-CR-54. Michael Ray Blanton, 35, Mount Washington, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants, and complicity to the same.

According to the indictment, on Feb. 28, 2012, Blanton, acting alone or in concert with Ronald Fick, cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell or transfer it. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-55. Jessie Reed Hill Jr., 60, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants; trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces); possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 3, 2013, Hill cultivated five or more marijuana plants and possessed less than 8 ounces of marijuana with the intent to sell or transfer it. He also was allegedly found in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-56. Kevin Houghlin, 36, Bloomfield, trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on Oct. 12, 2011, Houghlin allegedly sold two grams or more of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-57. Ronald Lee Jennette Jr., 48, Bardstown, trafficking in controlled substances, first-degree; possession of a controlled substance, first-degree; possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 23, 2013, Jennette was allegedly possessed drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and 10 or more dosages of oxycodone pills with the intent to sell or transfer them. Bail was set $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-58. Joseph Alan Simpson II, 28, Bardstown, cultivating marijuana, five or more plants; trafficking in marijuana, less than 8 ounces; possession of drug paraphernalia; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on July 11, 2013, Simpson allegedly possess 8 or fewer ounces of marijuana with the intent to sell or distribute it; cultivated five or more marijuana plants with the intent to sell or transfer it; and possessed drug paraphernalia. The indictment cites Simpson’s previous felony convictions as basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $50,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-59. Tami Bartley, aka Tami Downs, 39, Bardstown, possession of a forged instrument, second-degree; persistent felony offender, second-degree.

According to the indictment, on Feb 1, 2014, Bartley allegedly possessed a forged check for $60 and passed it at Keystone Liquors, and on Feb. 11, 2014, Bartley allegedly possessed a forged check for $70 and passed it at Toddy’s Liquors. The indictment cites Bartley’s prior felony conviction as the basis for the persistent felony offender charge. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-60. Bryon Daniel Williamson, 37, Bardstown, assault, third-degree (2 counts); resisting arrest (2 counts); menacing.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 30, 2013, Williamson allegedly elbowed a deputy in the mouth and kicked another in the chest while acting disorderly and resisting arrest. Bail was set at $25,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-61. Charles Robert Linton, 24, Bardstown, burglary, second-degree; receiving stolen property.

According to the indictment, sometime between Nov. 14-15, 2013, Linton is alleged to unlawfully entered another person’s home with the intent to commit a crime, retaining or disposing of a tool box with tools having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $9,500.

14-CR-62. Cecil Bruce Blair, 52, Elizabethtown, knowingly exploiting an adult without permission.

According to the indictment, between May 2012 and November 2013, Blair allegedly exploited another person by using his money without permission, resulting in a loss of more than $300. Bail will be set at the arraignment on Thursday, April 3, 2014.

14-CR-63. Hudie Downs, 60, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 26, 2014, Downs allegedly took a ladder, floor jacks and various tools belonging to another person having a value of $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000, cash only plus conditions.
