Obituary: James Clinton Tucker, 78, Lebanon
James Clinton Tucker, 78, of Lebanon, died peacefully at his home Monday, March 24, 2014. He was born Jan. 13, 1936, in Marion County.
He was an elder at the Lebanon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He retired from working at General Electric for 35 years and as manager of Lebanon-Springfield Airport for 17 years.
He was preceded in death by two baby daughters, Kim and Kelly Tucker; his parents, Jim Ed and Hattie Tucker; and three brothers, Donald Tucker, Ralph Tucker and Russell Tucker.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Margaret McPherron Tucker of Lebanon; one daughter, Karen Hugh O’Daniel of Lebanon; two sons, Cory Tucker of Tennessee and Chad Tucker of California; two brothers, Lawrence Tucker of Lebanon and Bill Tucker of Lexington; eight grandchilden; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his caregivers, Sue Tucker, T.J. Tungate and the staff of Hosparus.
The funeral is 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the Lebanon Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses with David Spalding officiating.
Visitation is 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the church.
