Obituary: James Francis Mattingly, 67, Lebanon

James Francis Mattingly, 67, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born July 4, 1946, in funeral_flowerMarion County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired employee of General Electric.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Owen and Frances Rita Vowells Mattingly; and one brother, Patrick Mattingly.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Theresa Wheatley Mattingly of Lebanon; one daughter, Ann Michelle (Greg) Morris of Lebanon; three sons, James Michael (Tammy) Mattingly of Lexington, KY, Thomas David (Rachel) Mattingly of Willisburg, and Brian Patrick (Tammie) Mattingly of Glasgow; five sisters, Mary Carpenter of Gravel Switch, Catherine Mattingly of Pensacola, Fla., Camella Hafley and Susan Mattingly, both of Lebanon and Carmel Sisk of Jeffersonville;
three brothers, Joe W. Mattingly of Lebanon, Richard Mattingly, of Lexington and Tony Mattingly of Lancaster; and nine grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon. Burial is in St. Rose Church Cemetery.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon. A prayer service is 7 p.m. Friday with Michael Luescher.

The Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
