Firefighters respond to report of smoke behind Allison Ave. home

Friday, March 28, 2014, 9:30 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called to a home in the 600 block of Allison Avenue for a report of a possible fire in the backyard.

Firefighters investigated the report and located an unauthorized controlled burn in progress. Firefighters extinguished the fire and informed the resident about the local ordinance regarding outdoor burning in the city limits.
