RICHARD LEE MCCAULEY

Richard Lee McCauley, 77, of Fairdale, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at his home with his loving wife by his side. He was born May 25, 1936, in Raywick. He was a retired employee of Naval Ordnance and Jefferson County Public Schools. He was an Army Veteran and member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in Fairdale.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Naomi (Nicky) McCauley; his parents, John and Melvina McCauley; four sisters, Glora Mae McCauley, Rita Mattingly, Margaret Galloway and Judy Favreau; seven brothers, Howard McCauley, R.E. McCauley, Bernard McCauley, Ronnie McCauley, Harold McCauley, John McCauley and Joe Ben McCauley; and one grandson, Joseph McKune.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Patricia Anne McCauley; two daughters, Lisa Jarboe and Keeta McKune (Danny); one son, Richard A. McCauley; one stepdaughter, Nichole Barker (Dean); one stepson, Justin Wendler (Melanie);  two sisters, Katherine Mattingly and Marceline Nickum; one brother, Tom McCauley; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick. The Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant. Burial is in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 12-8 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2014, at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, Fairdale.

Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
