Nelson Circuit Court Indictments–April 2, 2014

Editor’s Note: The indictment of a person by a grand jury or otherwise is an indictmentaccusation only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Friday, April 4, 2014 – The following people were indicted by a Nelson County grand jury on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. They are scheduled for arraignment April 17, 2014, unless otherwise indicated.

14-CR-64. Jamarel M. Montgomery, 33, Bardstown, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, from Oct. 3, 2008 to Jan. 31, 2014, Montgomery failed to provide support he knew he was required to pay resulting in an arrearage of $22,000.39. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-65. Patricia E. Brown, 40, Bloomfield, possession of a forged instrument, second-degree (2 counts); theft by unlawful taking under $500 (2 counts).

According to the indictment, on March 12, 2014, Brown is alleged to have knowingly given two individuals person forged checks totaling $100, depriving both of them of money that belonged to them. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-66. Jhaqwan Turner, 21, Springfield, second-degree assault.

According to the indictment, on Dec. 30, 2013, Turner allegedly stabbed another person with a knife. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-67. Bradley Humphrey, 24, New Haven, second-degree burglary.

According to the indictment, on March 24, 2014, Humphrey allegedly entered or remained in another individual’s residence with the intent to commit a crime. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-68. Yvonne Mitchell, 43, Bardstown, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on Jan. 30, 2014, Mitchell was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-69. Patrick Rawlins, 37, Bardstown, theft by unlawful taking or disposition – firearm.

According to the indictment, on or before Nov. 4, 2013, Rawlins allegedly took a Ruger.30-06 rifle belonging to another person. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-70. Richard Castleman Jr., 21, Bardstown, rape, third-degree.

According to the indictment, between Jan. 1-30, 2014, Castleman allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 years old. Bail was set at $9,500 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-71. Stephen Gerald Kimberland, 17, Bardstown, complicity to riot, first-degree.

According to the indictment, on Aug. 11, 2013, Kimberland, acting alone or in concert with Marcus Grundy, Quacy Sheckles, Brant Sheckles, Reid Shacoi Young and others, created a public disturbance with violent conduct that presented a grave danger of damage or injury to persons or property, resulting in injuries to several people. Bail will be set at the arraignment, 9 a.m. on April 17, 2014.

14-CR-72. Patrick L. Hewitt, 28, New Haven, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between June 18, 2007 and Feb. 28, 2014, Hewitt allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $14,142. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-73. Edward L. Bedell, 27, Owensboro, flagrant non-support.

According to the indictment, between April 24, 2009 and Jan. 31, 2014, Bedell allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $9,645.53. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.

14-CR-74. Mark A. Gregory, 40, Louisville, flagrant non-support; persistent felony offender, first-degree.

According to the indictment, between October 2008 and Jan. 31, 2014, Gregory allegedly failed to provide support he was ordered to pay, resulting in an arrearage of $16,632.74. Bail was set at $5,000 cash only plus conditions.
