EDWIN LEON ‘EDDIE’ MCNEAL
Edwin Leon “Eddie” McNeal, 87, of Bardstown, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the home of his daughter in Boston. He was born Oct. 25, 1926, in Gage, Okla. He was a retired truck driver for Barton Distillery and a World War II veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Clark McNeal; his parents, Fred Wright and Hattie Mayfield McNeal; and one half-brother, Cecil Clayton Colcord.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda(Larry) Rice of Nicholasville and Linda (Scott) Reed of Boston; two sons, Don (Myong) McNeal and Fred (Alice) McNeal, both of Bardstown; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Gladys Simpson.
The graveside service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at St. Joseph Cemetery with Chaplain Mary Jo Kruer officiating.
The family has requested expressions of sympathy be made to Dare to Care in her memory.
Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
