Maple Hill neighborhood issues the focus of today’s ‘Brooks & Company’

STAFF REPORT

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 — On this Tax Day edition of “Brooks & Company,” host Jim Brooks will be joined in the studio by Danielle Jones, one of the Maple Hill residents who has been instrumental in calling attention to the problems facing the neighborhood.

In an email sent Monday to Mayor Bill Sheckles, the city council, and local media, Jones documents problems South Elm Grove residents faced as a flat-bed semi tractor-trailer was unloaded on the street, virtually blocking the road to through traffic for more than an hour. Jones noted in her email that no action was taken by city hall on a request for signs she and Maple Hill residents asked for last fall to would address the issue.

Jones also will discuss the upcoming neighborhood clean-up next month.

Don’t miss “Brooks & Company,” 11-noon today on WBRT 97.1 FM, 1320 AM and streaming live 24/7. Listeners can join the show! Call (502) 348-2222!
