SAMANTHA GRACE NETHERLAND
Samantha Grace Netherland, 16, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at her family’s home in Botland. She was born Dec. 20, 1997, in Lexington. She was a sophomore at Bardstown High School. She was a member of the BHS Academic Team, Chorus and in the Young Leaders Program. She was recently accepted into the Gatton Academy Program at Western Kentucky University. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hayden and Kathy Lynn Hardin Netherland; and her paternal grandparents, Charles Edwin & Margaret Lewis McCubbin Netherland.
She is survived by her sister, Holly Alyssa Netherland of Bardstown; her maternal grandparents, Norris Lee and Betty Lou Bryan Hardin of Bardstown; five aunts, Margaret Gayle Clark and Stephanie (Jamie) Clark Thompson, both of Bardstown, Pamela (Beau) Adams of Louisville, Stacey (David) Hibbard of Springfield and Carla (Richard) Hodges of North Carolina; and two uncles, Jeffrey (Brooke) Hardin of Louisville and Jan (Jill) Netherland of Florida.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014, at Parkway Baptist Church with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, and 8:30-11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Parkway Baptist Church.
Expressions of sympathy my take the form of donations to Special Olympics of Kentucky; the Humane Society; the Bardstown High School Chorus or Academic Team programs.
