KSP seeking surveillance video of Springfield Road in Botland homicides

Wednesday, April 23, 2014, 9 p.m. —  The Kentucky State Police confirmed late Wednesday afternoon that the deaths of Botland residents Kathy Netherland, 48, and her daughter Samantha Netherland, 16, were homicides.

The KSP press release did not release a cause of the death for either victim. The bodies of both victims underwent autopsies at the State Medical Examiner’s Office this morning.

The KSP is asking for the public’s help in identifying possible suspects in the slayings.  Police are asking any homeowner or business in the area between Bardstown and the Botland community that has any surveillance video of US 150, the Springfield Road, to contact to KSP’s Post 4 in Elizabethtown at (270) 766-5078.
